About
Somi Therapy
Where integration meets structure—therapy that addresses the whole system, not just one part.
Founded by Amanda Leah Ng, Somi Therapy is an integrative mind-body practice rooted in psychology, neuroscience, somatics, and trauma-informed care.
Based in Singapore and serving worldwide, we work with thoughtful, driven individuals and teams, people who want to understand their patterns, regulate their stress responses, and grow in grounded, sustainable ways.
The name Somi reflects both the method and the outcome: somatic (the body-based foundation of this work), soma (the integrated whole of mind and body), and so-me (the return to one's truest self).
Our approach blends evidence-based science with deeply relational work.
We don't rely on one modality because no single method works for everyone, all the time.
Instead, we integrate what's most relevant—psychology, neuroscience, somatic practices, and life coaching—to help people rewire old patterns, regulate better, think more clearly, and respond with alignment.
What guides our work
Integrity
We invite and meet your real, unfiltered self with grounded presence and transparency so the work stays honest, human, and aligned with who you are.
Compassion
We meet every part of you with curiosity rather than judgment, creating the safety needed for exploration, insight, and meaningful change.
Collaboration
We work with you, not on you, reflecting what is hard to see alone and supporting clarity and movement without imposing answers.
Possibility
We hold a steady belief in each person's potential and help you uncover, trust, and grow the capacities within you, especially the ones you may have doubted, forgotten, or overlooked.
About Amanda Leah Ng
Hi! I’m Amanda, an Integrative Mind-Body Therapist and the founder of Somi Therapy.
Before this, I spent years in fast-paced corporate and startup environments. Many of you can probably relate. Pressure, performance, and constant motion were simply part of the job.
And while I looked “fine” on the outside, I started noticing how that pace was shaping everything else. Beyond stress, it was long-term pressure, some societally placed and some self-inflicted, that had quietly worked its way into my body (restlessness, gut issues, adult acne), my relationships (a shorter fuse, less presence), and my ability to feel settled in my own life.
That realization didn’t happen in isolation. As I became more aware of the growing mental health challenges around me, including among people I loved, things began to converge and point me toward Somi Therapy.
Today, my work integrates psychology, neuroscience, trauma-informed therapy, somatic practices, and performance coaching, all studied with rigor and applied with intention. As a third culture kid, I love that this work now connects me with clients all over the world, many of whom have adapted to long-term pressure in ways they’re only beginning to understand.
In sessions, we slow things down, listen more closely, and explore different ways of responding so new possibilities can emerge and gradually take shape in how you think, feel, and live day to day.

The Experience
No two clients present exactly the same - this is why Amanda’s therapy approach is bespoke and nuanced, addressing the unique individual in front of her.
Clients can expect a tailored experience designed specifically for their presenting issues. Sessions will include (but not be limited to) techniques such as talk therapy, somatic practices, emotional processing, goal setting and addressing nervous system patterns.
Through psychology, neuroscience, somatics, trauma-informed psychotherapy, and life coaching, we help individuals rewire old patterns so they can regulate better, think more clearly, and respond with impact and alignment.
The Results
B.M. from Manila
I feel more grounded, more in tune with how I’m doing, and a lot more compassionate with myself.
(And that’s something I’d been needing for a long time.)
Before starting, I was constantly overwhelmed and didn’t know how to slow down.
What made the difference for me was the way Amanda combined therapy with learning. The frameworks she introduced helped me understand why I was feeling the way I was, and the sessions gave me the space to actually sit with those emotions. I walked away with tools I can use daily and a stronger sense of connection to myself.
G.T. from Singapore
Working with Amanda has been a truly purposeful and fruitful journey - it's given me clarity, grounding, and a stronger sense of direction moving forward.
From the start, Amanda created a safe and holding space where I felt heard and supported in sharing my thoughts and emotions openly. That sense of safety made a real difference for me. When I began the program, my mental and emotional state was not in a good place. I was trying to do self-work on my own, but it wasn’t helping.
This program helped me slow down, understand what was happening underneath, and become more aware of the triggers affecting me. It also helped me refocus on my priorities and goals. The therapy coaching and breathwork stood out the most. Breathwork is something I often overlook, but having it built intentionally into the sessions created a pause I deeply needed. The sessions gave me space to speak my thoughts out loud, revisit older memories, and understand what was working for me and what wasn’t.
I also appreciated how Amanda encouraged me to express myself in my own way, including using analogies, without leading or forcing direction. That made me feel respected and truly understood.
