Preparing Myself for Coaching
Now that you’ve booked your first session, you’re probably thinking: How can I make the most of it?
Coaching only works when both parties — you and I — are all in. It’s a collaborative effort where we work together to achieve goals that you’ve set for yourself. With that in mind, here are some ways to help you prepare for your first coaching session:
Identify Your Intention for Coming to Coaching
Before your first coaching session, take some time to reflect on what has brought you here. While you’re not expected to come with all the answers, ask yourself:
What would I like to achieve, explore, or learn through this experience?
What areas of my life feel unsettled or stuck?
What is causing me pain or stress?
What goals and aspirations do I hold for myself?
Disconnect & Create Space for Yourself
Remember, this time is for you. As you prepare for your coaching session, disconnect from the distractions of your daily routine, whether that’s work, family, or other obligations. Find a quiet, comfortable space where you can fully engage in the coaching process without interruptions. This dedicated time and space will allow you to focus entirely on your personal growth and development during our session.
Be Open to the Experience
Openness and honesty between you and I form the foundation of our work together. I invite you to be transparent and vulnerable to create the opportunity for deeper exploration and more meaningful results.
This work and your trust in me are privileges I do not take for granted. In our sessions, I promise professionalism, safety, and confidentiality.
